A warm welcome to Inspired Bridal Boutique in the heart of Blackburn. A true gem in the bridal industry, ‘Inspired’ by Helen Dimmick is a unique concept situated on the first floor of the iconic Ainsworth Jewellers store with a history and heritage spanning over 150 years.
Inspired is a unique collection of new and pre-owned gowns curated by Helen and her decades of retail experience in the bridal industry. Helen had a vision and passion to bring bridal retail back to Blackburn and has launched the new boutique to rapturous support from the bridal community.
We look forward to welcoming bridal parties from Blackburn and beyond to enjoy the comfort of our stylish fitting room, complete with dressing area and plush seating to relax in stunning surroundings whilst enjoying complimentary refreshments. Our store boasts a collection for everyone with all tastes, styles and sizes catered for in a warm, welcoming environment where wedding dress dreams meet reality.

Our unique offer will be two-fold and is all about choice – brides can browse the latest collections from well-known designers we are proud to stock or they can bring pre-loved gowns or even family heirlooms for us to re-purpose to suit their wedding dress dreams.

With a business ethos that embraces sustainability too, we are proud to offer a renowned seamstress with a designer vision who can re-imagine, re-purpose and re-create the most stunning, bespoke gown using pre-loved garments or even family heirlooms. A USP we are so fiercely proud of and which will ensure your memoires are etched into your wedding dress that will mean the world to every bride choosing this exclusive service.
It’s all about the bride
There is an underlying theme that runs throughout Inspired and that is we really consider how a bride feels. We want them to be a client for life as opposed to a one-off experience, as the past, present and future is at the very heart of the Inspired bridal story, just like it is in jewellery. We want our brides to return so we can create a stunning black tie event creation, baby christening outfits or even prom dresses from the once worn, beloved wedding dress.

Helen is a renowned jewellery historian and gemmologist and with a penchant for bringing garments alive with matching jewellery to suit your personality traits – whether that is a striking necklace to suit your neckline or bridal bangle to offset against your dress, access to all the items sold at Ainsworth Jewellers will mean you can accessorise at the same time as choosing your dress.
Be Inspired by Our Team
‘Inspired’ is proud to be working with a renowned seamstress who will turn her hand to alterations and bringing dreams and visions to reality. Unlike most pattern dressmakers, our seamstress brings designer vision and expertise to her role and will play an integral part in the bespoke creations of all our preloved garments. As part of a long-standing relationship with Blackburn college, she will also be supporting the next generation with education classes and projects.
As a traditional seamstress spending time on the attention to detail is paramount, and she would rather unpick an item than simply cutting the edge, giving a mark of utmost quality craftmanship to the end result.
Katie Grime
Katie Grime is our dedicated shop assistant who has years of retail experience. What many don’t know is that she is a keen Milliner and has a clear desire to excel in the bridal industry. Her passion, penchant for style and eye for suiting styles and accessories to personality shines through that brides are certainly in safe hands with Katie.
The Inspired team with Helen at the helm, will welcome brides and their family to showcase the collections on offer or to work with brides to create a bespoke gown that can be effortlessly matched with jewellery from Ainsworth’s vast collection to style the perfect look for each individual bride.
Inspired Supporting the Community
Community is at the heart of both the Ainsworth Jewellers and Inspired Bridal Boutique ethos and we are delighted to be supporting renowned and iconic, Gawthorpe Hall Textiles Collection, who themselves house the third largest costume collection in the UK.
A donation of the profit made on the sale of every gown sold will be gifted to the charity and as a lasting legacy of this relationship, brides will also be given Friends Membership to the Hall and will play a part in their archive story with a box used at the Hall labelled with the details from their wedding day.
Our relationship with Blackburn college continually goes from strength to strength – working with the creative talent of the future to explore opportunities and give the students real life experience that will stand them in good stead for the years to come. Both Helen and our seamstress are proactively involved in ongoing projects and we look forward to sharing details as we continue to develop.
